What information do we collect about you?

When you visit or use either our learning platform or our marketing website (the website) we collect personal information about you, including information about your:

  • Name, the country you live in, and the name of your company
  • Contact information including your work email address and phone number
  • Computer or network information such as IP address and browser information
  • Billing or purchase information
  • Course and video analytics and statistics
  • Participation in our community forum, including information you provide in comments and posts
  • Activity on our website (see more detail under ‘Cookies’ below)

We don’t collect your credit card details if you subscribe — this information is securely processed on our behalf by Stripe.

Who do we collect this information from?

We collect personal information directly from you when you sign up for a free trial or subscription.

If your company has signed up with us we will collect your name and company contact details from it so we can invite you to enrol in a program.

We will also collect information directly from you if you participate in our community forum or use our website.

Why do we collect this information?

We collect your personal information in order to provide subscription-based online education, manage your account with us, support your participation in our community forum, and understand how our website is being used by our visitors and learners.

We will also send you relevant marketing information by email from time to time. You may unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time.

Who do we share this information with?

If you have been invited to enrol as a learner on behalf of your company then it will be able to see if you have accepted that invitation. If you do accept it, then your company will be able to see your learning progress, including the courses you have completed and the date you completed them. Individual learners within a company can only see this information about themselves, not each other.

We have a number of trusted third-party service providers who have access to your personal information to help us deliver our training, community, and marketing activities. For example, HubSpot helps us manage our customer database and Circle our community platform. These trusted third-party service providers act on our behalf, have appropriate information security safeguards in place, and do not use your personal information for their own activities.

We do not sell your personal information.

How do we store this information?

We and our trusted third-party service providers keep your information safe by storing it on secure servers and restricting access to it. Read more about Security at SafeStack.

Your privacy rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply you may have additional rights, such as the right to have personal information deleted.

Other important information

Cookies

When you visit our website we use HubSpot cookies to collect information about how you interact with it and help us identify you on future visits. If you fill out a form on our website, your previous page views will be connected with your email address and any other contact information you provide. If you don’t fill out a form, cookie tracking is anonymous. If you delete your cookies, you’ll be considered a new visitor next time you visit. If you do not want to tracked with these HubSpot cookies you can opt out via your browser.

As a learner, if you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to collect and save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Pixel tags

We use pixel tags to collect IP addresses, which may then be used to analyze web traffic and derive insights.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
